In October of 2015, Mayor Byron Brown’s administration introduced a replacement for the city’s 62-year-old City Code to the Common Council. The draft UDO (Urban Development Ordinance, commonly known as the Green Code) aimed to provide simplicity, uniformity and clarity to guide land use planning for the future of Buffalo.
We attended public hearings, met with community groups and allies to discuss the implications of the Green Code on the Outer Harbor.
